This small site contains some items that may be of interest to financial market traders, in particular those who are already aware of the trader chat page at Avid Trading.
There is an archive of Avid's chat sessions. This is the most complete archive of the chat that I am aware of. In deed I handed over what I recovered from my early chat archives to Mr. Bacon after a filesystem became corrupted.

The Host
This site is hosted by Logictree Systems Limited, a small computer consultancy company.
The Server
The server is a non-commercial internet server, therefore it is available only through a low bandwidth pipe and runs on a low powered system. The second of these two points should be borne in mind since the databases behind the site also runs on this low powered computer and queries can take a while, especially those working with some of the larger tables, which contain approximately 1 million records and will only be getting larger.
As already mentioned there is a commercially hosted archive site of Avid Trader chat sessions. Despite there now being an archive available on this server the other site should be prefered unless the extra search facilities provided by this site are required. This is because of the hosting arrangements, again, mentioned above.
Software
The software running the server has only slightly modifications from the standard distribution, except for the configuration which has been customised of course. However the page generation software has been developed, and undergoing extension as required, in house. It provides services comparable to other highly priced Content Management Systems and also incorporates full revision control, a feature missing from at least one of those other systems which concentrate on producing good looking user interfaces ahead of functionality.
The host company can supply development and production server systems, including web site development using professional designers and programmers at very competitive rates. Commercial hosting and administration services can also be provided.
